Fashion Experts' Picks And Pans From The Green Carpet

CBS) The greatest sideshow at the Grammys is always the fashion parade and last night's performance did not disappoint.

There was enough glamour — both good and bad — to keep the flashbulbs popping. For the fashion post-mortem, The Early Show had a visit from resident style expert David Evangelista and Suze Yalof Schwartz, the executive fashion director of Glamour magazine.

They had their eyes on the Grammys trademark green carpet, where Teri Hatcher made jaws drop in her transparent plum-colored Jean Paul Gaultier dress. Schwartz gave it an emphatic thumps up for its rock 'n' roll look.

Evangelista wasn't so sure, especially because of Hatcher's very visible boy-briefs. "I think all she was missing was a Lance Armstrong bike top," he said.

Both guests were fans, however, of Gwen Stefani's ethereal maternity dress, a one-shoulder leopard print, which the singer designed herself.

"I think that's a great dress even if you're not pregnant," Schwartz raved. "I thought she looked so glamorous. The hair was perfection. The lipstick red, which is really hot right now."

"I think she knows how to wear clothing well, whether she's pregnant or not," said Evangelista. "She looked comfortable. When you are pregnant, you want to be comfortable."
